Why do I have to login through Facebook?
All TurnTalk users must have a Facebook account to validate their Real Profile identity. TurnTalk is all about meeting new and interesting people around you with shared interests in a secure and comfortable way. We do not access or spam your friends list and we do not use or access any information other than your Facebook profile image, name, gender, age and list of likes. We do not store your age, but instead use a 1-time secure information pass to put your account into a pre-defined age group. We never store your actual age.
Are you going to post on my timeline?
No, TurnTalk will never post to your timeline. You can voluntarily share TurnTalk with friends via Facebook and other social media sites' sharing functionality, but TurnTalk will never automatically create posts on your behalf. Facebook may display that you’ve downloaded the app, but you can prevent this by changing the visibility settings to “Only Me” in the app center preferences.
Is my activity within TurnTalk private?
Messaging is completely encrypted using a combination RSA/AES encryptions to secure the message pass. All messages are stored in their encrypted state. Thus, only the sender and recieving party can access the content of each sent message. After both parties agree and accept a "turn" request, each party's real name, profile image and age range is displayed only to the party with which the "turn" request was accepted.
What do you do with my information?
All information provided to TurnTalk through Facebook (including your profile, email address and list of likes) are never sold or distributed to any third parties. TurnTalk uses this information exclusively to make your experience on TurnTalk better for you and the other individuals around you that either you find interesting or find you interesting. You can disconnect TurnTalk from your Facebook account at any time, and TurnTalk will delete all of your personal information. You can also edit all information that was carried over from Facebook directly within TurnTalk at any time.
Why do you ask for access to my pictures?
TurnTalk allows you switch your Anonymous and Real Profile images at will, so having access to the pictures on your mobile device is necessary. Pictures not uploaded to TurnTalk are never transferred to our servers without your explicit consent.
What about the rest of my info?
Your Anonymous profile name, Anonymous profile image, list of likes and tagline are visible to all other TurnTalk users within your set vicinity. Only after you and another TrunTalk user agree to a "turn" request will you be shown each others' Real profile name, Real profile image and age range. Any information you voluntarily disclose via the chat functionality within TurnTalk is encrypted and only visible to you and the intended recipient of the message.
Can I permanently remove my information and deauthorize my account?
Of course. To uninstall TurnTalk, visit https://www.facebook.com/settings?tab=applications from a desktop computer (will not work from mobile device) and remove the app from the list. Then, on your phone, delete the app icon as you normally would. Please note, if you choose to reinstall TurnTalk later, you will be starting anew with no messages retained.
